Imperial Star Destroyer

 

The Star destroyer done for The Empire Strike Back is one of my favorite models. And one of the most detailled. I didn't have the space to build a studio scale replica of the 8 ft, so I went with 1/2.25 scale model. It comes to 41". The start began in 2006, June.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I started by cut the four panels to do the hull, and I quickly built the superstructures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then I started to detail the bridge. I try, as far as I can, to use the same parts or very similar parts than the ones used on the original prop. If they used 1/35, I try to find the same at 1/72 scale. This is the case here with the Matilda parts. Then I started the "neck".
